Mondeo MK4, Titanium X, 2.0 TDCi 106 kW, 2008 Mondeo MK3, Ghia, 2.0 TDCi 97 kW, 2004 Focus MK2, Trend, 1.6 TDCi 67 kW, 2008 1. disconnect two pipes and electrical connector. 2. plug pipes to prevent aeration of fuel system. 3. drain diesel from filter housing using the drain bolt (aprox. 1 litre) 4. unmount the whole filter, replace paper element. 5. fill the filter with diesel as much as possible. 6. mount the filter to its holder, connect both pipes and connector. It will get up to temp quicker if the engine revs are higher and continuos. The car is will heat up better and maximum torque which is probably around 2,500 revs. The more air and hear going through the exhaust will burn off the soot quicker. Your car won't like to try and do a regen at idle or at low speeds. I also have the same DTC code P2002 on my Mondeo 2.0 tdci duratorq -07 but I get it together with P1335 wich is a fault in the EGR System. Did you check your EGR system? – RoF

I have changed the sensor and every time it try's to regen blows the fuse on the fuel vaporiser. Garage have said that it needs a new vaporiser and will cost £350.
23 posts · Joined 2006. #1 · Dec 9, 2017. Hi there. I have a Mondeo Titanium X 2.2TDCI which is now showing an engine malfunction light on the screen. This is accompanied by an "OK" to acknowledge, a yellow 'i' symbol, but after acknowledging the issue, sometimes immediately but certainly within a minute or two of driving, it disappears.
